LoadandRange

Electric scooters checked against heavy riders and long trips, using the makers' own figures.

Behind the range number

A range claim is only as useful as its test. This page collects what each maker says about how its figure was reached. 3 of 18 pages name a test rider weight. The rest give a riding mode, a phrase like "ideal conditions", or nothing.

Reading the gap

Kaabo tests the Warrior 11 Max and King GTR Max with a 165 lb rider at 15 mph. A 300 lb rider carrying 10 lb of gear puts 145 lb more on the same scooter. Kaabo's page says real-world range varies with terrain, speed and weight. It does not say by how much, and neither does any other maker in this set. So this site does not print an adjusted figure. The trip check lets you set a buffer instead.

Apollo's City 2.0 page is the one place a maker offers its own lower figure: around 32 miles in everyday commuting against up to 40 in ideal conditions. That is a 20% drop by the maker's own account, at a rider weight it does not state.
